During your stay you will experience 2 rides and participate in a natural horsemanship workshop. Horses are both powerful and gentle animals that tend to mirror your own state of being. Working with these incredible horses is a mindful, fun and empowering experience.

Rides are catered for all levels and are for 2-3 hours, so you will not get too sore from sitting in the saddle. Rider weight limit of 90kgs

The horses are a mix of breads and use English and Stock Saddles. Our four legged team members are all well natured and have completed a lot of Natural Horsemanship training.

Bannockburn beautiful scenery is framed with mountains. There is an old musterer’s rule where they say “They ride you up, but you walk them down”. Therefore, you must be able to walk down yourself leading your horse. This does add to the fitness experience, and ensures we look after the horses body's too.

Daily Pilates classes offer a focus on posture and abdominal breathing, form and alignment, stability and mobility. Don’t be fooled, those isolated and specific exercises are very effective at creating the burn. Classes will cater for beginner and intermediate levels.

There is also a 1-2 hour Hike offered to explore the incredible views of Bannockburn and get your step count up. One day we will venture into old Cromwell town, where you can enjoy a coffee or browse the local shops. The next hike will be around the Bannockburn sluicings historic reserve, New Zealand’s own Wild West.

Evening stretch classes improve your balance and flexibility and allows a chance for tired and worked muscles to relax. This evening class allows time to listen, unwind and prepare for a good nights sleep.

Carrick vineyard has been farmed organically since 2008, this approach is better for the vineyard, the wine and the wider environment

On the 3rd day of the retreat you will enjoy delicious food at the Carrick Restaurant whilst overlooking the stunning Bannockburn Inlet. The seasonal menu showcases the best local produce and ingredients fresh from the land.

After lunch you will learn all about Carrick by joining a memorable tour of the vineyard, winery, and barrel cellar, followed by a wine tasting. Find out first hand what makes Carrick wines so special, whilst enjoying some the worlds finest Pinot Noir

During one of the treks we will swing by the home of Central Otago's finest Ruby Port for a tasting and a catch up with Debs the local Tannacrieff winemaker and port specialist.
